True Love’s Peony
This painting was inspired after I rescued several distressed peony bushes. I wanted to showcase how beautiful it is to rescue distressed flowers. They were all used as the references for my paintings.
After painting my masterpiece peony, I was afraid this next painting wouldn’t be as beautiful. The colors were very similar, too. But God, rescued me from me, and I painted a breathtaking flower.
This peony is more violet than my other paintings, so unique. This peony also has many layers that were really fun to paint. God showed me this lovely peony painting would not live in the shadows like I thought.
I call this painting, True Love’s Peony because that is what God gave us. He rescues us, plants us in beautiful spaces. All because He truly loves you.
This peony is very special to me. I personally grew all of this peony. So I feel I’m giving you a personal gift from my garden!!
This piece is part of the Rescued Collection. The Rescued Collection features peonies of warm pinks, flowing watercolor arrangements and an expansive landscape.
